		<description>While emotions do affect our health, there is a difference between a pollyanna attitude about the world and ourselves in it and have a joyfully critical attitude.  

Indeed, up-lifting emotions are healthful and spark a positive immune response, but can't we see joy in being critical? Can't we feel great by really doing something for humankind, like the poor, the sick and the oppressed (yes, they're here today in the USA)? God knows we need more thoughtfully critical people in every realm of the world today.  We cannot take things for face value skipping through life in some sort of psychotic delirious gaiety. (Ok, so I'm stretching being "optimistic" a bit. At least I hope so.)
