SUBJECT: The Manipal Institute of Jewellery Management, Manipal University, invites applications for admission to their three-year bachelor of business administration course in jewellery design management [BBA (JDM)].

ELIGIBILITY: To qualify, candidates need to have a minimum of 50 per cent in Plus Two, A levels, IB, American 12th Grade or equivalent. Potential students have to pass the All India Manipal University Online Bachelors Admissions Test.

PARTICULARS: The application forms can be purchased from the Manipal University admissions office by writing to the Director, Admissions, Manipal University, Manipal-576104. A demand draft worth Rs 500, drawn in the name of Manipal University and made payable at Manipal or Udupi or Bangalore, should be enclosed along with the request.

SUBJECT: IISc invites applications for admission to its research programme (PhD / MSc) in engineering.

ELIGIBILITY: Please log on to the website (www.iisc.ernet.in/ admissions) for eligibility, specialisations, areas of research and other details.

PARTICULARS: The information brochure and application form can be obtained from specific branches of Canara Bank on payment of Rs 700. Candidates can also write to the Deputy Registrar (Academic), Admissions Unit, IISc, Bangalore-560012 for the form. A demand draft for Rs 700, drawn in favour of the Registrar, IISc, Bangalore, should be enclosed along with the request. SC / ST and physically handicapped candidates can pick up the form at the institute for only Rs 350 after submitting the relevant certificate. Applications can also be submitted online. The online application fee is Rs 500 (Rs 250 for SC / ST).

SUBJECT: The National University of Educational Planning & Administration invites applications for admission to its full-time MPhil and PhD programme with fellowship, full-time direct PhD programme with fellowship and a part-time PhD programme in educational policy, planning, finance or administration in the upcoming session.

ELIGIBILITY: Candidates applying for the MPhil-PhD programme need a masters in education or social sciences and allied disciplines with a 55 per cent aggregate in graduation; for the PhD, applicants need an MPhil in educational planning or administration and must have 55 per cent in postgraduation; and applicants to the part-time programme should have a masters in education or social sciences and allied disciplines, a 55 per cent aggregate in graduation and five years work experience in teaching, educational planning or administration.

PARTICULARS: The fellowship for the MPhil-PhD and direct PhD would be Rs 13,000 per month in addition to this fee, contingency as per rule. Interested candidates can obtain the application forms from the website (www.nuepa.org).
