SUBJECT: The institute invites applications for its one-year small industries management programme (SIMAP), commencing from November 12, 2007, to develop prospective managers for small industries enterprises under the sponsorship of the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI).
ELIGIBILITY: Applicants should have passed Plus Two in any discipline. Industries are also welcome to sponsor their employees.
PARTICULARS: Module I of the programme consists of 28 weeks of classroom training in management concepts and practices. Module II of the programme consists of 20 weeks of industrial training in mid-scale industrial enterprises. Self-financed students will have to pay Rs 8,000 and industry-sponsored ones will have to pay Rs 10,000. The application form and prospectus, costing Rs 70, can be obtained from the office of the institute.

SUBJECT: The institute invites application forms for its two-year postgraduate diploma in management (PGDM) programme.
ELIGIBILITY: Applicants should have a bachelors degree or equivalent with 50 per cent aggregate marks in any discipline from a recognised institute. Every applicant is required to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management. Final selection will be based on an applicant’s academic record, work experience (if any), CAT score, extempore speaking test score and performance in the personal interview.
PARTICULARS: The IMI brochure and application form can be acquired by paying Rs 1,200 in cash at IMI, by enclosing a demand draft worth Rs 1,200 drawn in favour of IMI, payable at Delhi, or by downloading the form from the website and sending the demand draft in the manner mentioned above.

SUBJECT: The British Council announces the Charles Wallace India Trust (CWIT) Scholarships 2008-09. CWIT is an arts, heritage conservation and humanities scholarship fund. It gives fully-funded awards in arts and heritage conservation, visiting fellowships, grants towards the costs of short research or professional visits and grants towards the cost of the penultimate or final year of doctoral study to Indians who need to spend time in the UK.
CWIT was established in 1981 under an agreement between the Indian and UK governments. British Council India advises on the work of the trust and provides administrative support.
